Linen Cloth:

Sentinel Hill (Alliance or lvl 85 Horde)

The best place to farm linen has to be in Westfall killing  gnolls at the bottom of Sentinel Hill. These mobs re-spawn quite rapidly and drop linen frequently. The reason this is only good at level 85 for horde is due to the guards of sentinel hill.

Silverpine Forest

The Hilsbrad Worgens in Silverpine forest are a great alternative for horde that are unable to farm cloth at Sentinel Hill. These mobs are close together and have pretty good drop and re-spawn rates.

The deadmines and Ragefire Chasm instances

If you are at a high enough level to solo run these instances I would highly suggest it. Especially if you are leveling enchanting with tailoring and need more items to disenchant. The deadmines also drops a good amount of wool along with the linen so you can farm both at once. Ragefire Chasm is entrance is located in the cleft of shadow withing Ogrimmar. The deadmines entrance is located in moobrook within Westfall.

Wool Cloth:

Wetlands

This is the best place I found to farm wool. There is a war between the Ebon Slavehunters and Dragonmaw Whelpstealers  and both mobs drop a good amount of wool and spawn quickly. This is a good place for either faction.

Hillsbrad Foothills (Horde Only)

Killing the Stormpike Engineers here is an alternative for horde. These mobs are friendly to the alliance so they will not be able to farm them.

Shadowfang Keep Instance

Again if you are able to solo run this instance I would recommend it for a great wool drop and items to disenchant. Shadowfang keep entrance is located in Silverpine Forest.

Silk Cloth

Scarlet Monastery

This is easily the best place to farm silk if you are high enough level to solo the Cathedral instance. these runs don’t take long. The best way to do this is run around gathering all the mobs and then using AOE to kill them all together. The Cathedral entrance is behind the left door in SM.

Badlands

The is the best alternative to Scarlet Monastery are the dwarves and troggs in the cave near the entrance of Uldaman. If you can solo Uldaman it is also good and can get you some mageweve at the same time.

Mageweave Cloth

Tanaris

The ogres near the Dunemaul Compound are great for farming mageweave. These mobs aren’t very close together but they do have generous drop rate, and re-spawn rather fast.

Zul’Farrak and Stratholme Instances

These are great places to farm if you are high enough level to solo them. Just gather all the mobs and down them at the end with AOE. Zul’Farrak is found in the northern part of Tanaris. You will want to use the Main Gate to enter Stratholme found in north west part of Eastern Plaguelands.

Runecloth

Silithus

If you are not level 85, killing Twilight Cultists will be the best way to farm runecloth. Twilight members are found at the Twilight post and Twilight base camp. The best way to farm this is to cycle back and forth between the camps killing everything at each one.

Hellfire Ramparts

For a level 85 Hellfire Ramparts is easily the best place to farm Runecloth. Just run through gathering all the mobs possible and using AOE to kill them at the end. Hellfire ramparts ins found in the center Hellfire Peninsula of the Outlands. The entrance is on the middle level of the tower.

Netherweave

Blades Edge Mountain

Killing the Vekh’nir bird type mobs near Vekharr Stand are my pick for the best nethwerweave farming spot outside instances. These mobs have a great drop rate, and re-spawn quite rapidly.

Blood Furnace

Again for a level 85 this is going to be your best bet for netherweave. Quick runs and great drop rates. Blood Furnace is located just above the ramparts entrance in the center of Hellfire Peninsula

Frostweave Cloth

NOTE: Drop rates for Frostweave Cloth are going to be lower if you are not a tailor with Northern Cloth Scavanging trained.

Icecrown

This is the only zone worth farming frostweave in. The best mobs to farm are the converted heroes. However this will be hard unless you are above level 80. These mobs are in large groups and re-spawn quickly.

If you are having trouble with the converted heroes I suggest farming the Dark Zealots, and Ritualist in the northern part of Icecrown.

Embersilk Cloth

NOTE: The tailoring skill Northern Cloth Scavanging comes into play again for embersilk cloth. I would also suggest that you get some potion of treasure finding as well. The potion gives you a chance to find tiny treasure chest that can contain embersilk as well as other useful items.

Tol Barad Peninsula

Killing the the mobs in the Restless Front is my best farming spot for embersilk. This area can be rough on PVP servers so watch out.

Deepholm

My second best farming spot for embersilk is killing troggs on the west side of deepholm. The troggs are in nice sized groups and can be easy to AOE down if possible.

I hope these cloth farming spots were helpful. I will be making updates to the Best Place to farm in WoW page often so check back soon. If you have a good farming spot or a comment for this page please leave them below.
